With SmartStation you don’t need to worry about control
points, traverses and resections. Just set up wherever it’s convenient, touch
the GPS key and let the SmartAntenna do the rest. RTK determines the position to
centimeter accuracy within a few seconds at ranges up to 50 km from a reference
station. With SmartStation you’re ready to go in the shortest possible time; fix
the position with GPS and then survey with the total station. |

GPS fully integrated into total station |
|
With the entire software in the total station, all TPS and
GPS operations are controlled via the TPS keyboard. All data is stored in
the same database on the same CompactFlash card. All measurement, status,
and other information are displayed on the TPS screen. The TPS plug-in
battery also powers the GPS SmartAntenna and RTK communication device. All
components combine perfectly. Everything is integrated into one compact
unit- no need for cable, external battery, data logger, etc. |

Use as SmartStation, or as a total
station and RTK rover |
|
With SmartStation's modular design, you can use the
equipment in any way you like. Use SmartStation where there are no control
points available. Once SmartStation is accurately positioned, take off the
SmartAntenna, put it on a pole, and use it with the RX1210 controller and
GTX1230 sensor as a fully-fledged RTK rover.

Uniform Operating Concept
of System 1200 |
 The operating concept, displays,
keyboard layouts, functions, routines and even many of the application programs
are identical for GPS and TPS. Use whichever instrument is the most convenient
and, best of all, use them in the same way.
GPS1200 and TPS1200’s graphical
operating concept leads you straight to what you need. Use the default settings,
or allocate displays and functions to keys and define your own menu for the way
you work. System 1200 adapts to you!
GPS1200 and TPS1200 are supplied with a range
of standard application programs to help you perform standard survey tasks such
as topographic surveys and stakeout as accurately and efficiently as possible.
For advanced survey tasks a wide range
of optional application programs is offered. For special requirements, you can
even write your own programs in GeoC++ or contact a Leica software center.

Identical Data Management |
 As TPS and GPS use exactly the same
format and data management, you can transfer cards from one to the other and
work in the same way. This powerful data
management system that is common to GPS1200, TPS1200 and LEICA Geo Office and
that allows data to be transferred seamlessly in any direction between any
components and between field and office. |

Standardized Accessories |
 GPS1200, and TPS1200 use the same
CompactFlash cards, formats and data management. For reliable,
long-lasting power, TPS1200 and GPS1200 use the best, high-capacity batteries
available so you can work for many hours with plug-in Lithium-ion mini
batteries. Best of all, use the one charger to prepare all of the
batteries required for another complete day of TPS1200 and GPS1200 surveying
activities. |
